Raffaele Castaldo is a New York-based Scenic Designer, Scenic Artist, and Live Events Producer with a passion for storytelling and creating transformative environments. Based in New York City, he keeps busy as Technical Theatre Faculty and Production Supervisor at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, overseeing scenic design and scenic art across many productions, as well as co-founder of Artisanal Events, a luxury event production company. He has received numerous accolades for his work in the theatre and live events industry, including recognition as CTE Teacher of the Year 2025. He is a proud member of United Scenic Artists, Local 829 | IATSE.

In addition to theatre, Raffaele has an extensive background in corporate events, luxury productions, and large-scale live events, with experience ranging from design drafting and rendering to full production management. Through Artisanal Events, he has produced high-budget events across the United States and internationally, working with clients on projects ranging from intimate luxury gatherings to large-scale brand activations.

Raffaele holds an MFA in Scenic Design, an MA in Art and Public Policy and a Certificate in The Business of Entertainment — all from NYU|Tisch School of the Arts — and a BA in Politics from NYU|College of Arts and Science. He is grateful every day for his wife Laurie and their dogs Randi and Tallie, who always keep life interesting.
